I created a git repository of a Eclipse workspace pushed it to my server for backup and then cloned the version on the server. This works but there is a synchronization issue with Eclipse and all source files have to be manually touched, for instance by double clicking on them to load them into an editor. When you do this you should answer Yes to the question if it should be reloaded.
For some reason the F5/Refresh does not help.
